our Founding Chaplain...
Dr. Scott Toussaint
Scott Toussaint,
Founding Chaplain, was born in Chicago and has been actively involved in
owning and leading organizations since the age of seventeen. Having built
four successful organizations in the corporate world he turned his
attention to the more important world of assisting people in need
approximately ten years ago.
During the last ten years, Scott has been actively involved in ministry
and has served on the financial and administrative boards of several
churches. Currently, Wedding Chaplains uses more than
eight pastors, ministers, officiants and members of the clergy to help plan,
write and perform wedding ceremonies throughout Indiana. Each year, hundreds of
couples contact Scott to inquire about assistance with one of the most
important days of their lives -- their wedding day.
In 1973, Scott received his B.A. in Economics from the University of
Illinois at Chicago. More recently, he has received an M.A. in Biblical
Studies, his M.S.T. (Master of Sacred Theology) and MDiv. (Master of
Divinity) from Heritage Baptist Seminary in Greenwood, IN. He completed his
Doctorate of Ministry in 2005. Scott has been ordained, is certified by the
AACC as a Christian Counselor and has served on numerous boards such as
Conner Prairie, Humane Society for Hamilton County and BPR (Business and
Professional Exchange), a secular initiative also assisting people in career
transition.
Scott and his wife, Janet, have known each other since the age of six
and have been married 32 years. They have three grown children and reside
in Carmel, IN.
